He is such a happy and sweet baby. He loves to laugh and talk. He is so animated. He loves to be talked to, if you are holding him and talking to someone else, he thinks he is involved in the conversation and he just smiles and laughs. He likes when I sing to him, some day, he will realize I have a horrible voice :)
I think he has started teething. He chews on his hands all the time. Everything he grabs, it goes to his mouth. He loves his fingers...we had a little pic break, so in the mouth they went.
He sits up really well in his bumbo and loves his activity jumper. He is reaching for toys and anything interesting. He has started to reach for people as well, it is the sweetest thing.
He is rolling over from back to tummy and every once in a while, he will roll from tummy to back. He is still not a fan of tummy time, so we are still working on upper body strength.
He is eating 3-4 tbs of rice cereal and oatmeal twice a day. He gets oatmeal after the morning bottle and rice cereal before his night time bottle. He eats 6oz of milk 5-6 times a day, usually every 3 hours, sometimes he will go longer after the morning cereal.
He weighs about 16 pounds. He wears size 6 months. He is in size 2 diapers.
He is our little night time sleeper!! We put him down after his bath and night bottle between 8 and 9. He sleeps until 7 or 8am!!! Yay!! What a blessing! He still doesn't like day time naps. He naps 3-4 times a day for about 30-45min. Rarely, he will sleep for longer. Today, he took 1 1/2 afternoon nap! He was sleeping in his crib at one point, but when he started rolling over, he would wake himself up. We were having to go to his room multiple times a night to roll him back over. I moved him back to the Rock N Play Sleeper for now. He still sleeps in his room. We will try the crib again when he can roll himself back over. He sleeps with a sound machine, I think this helps a lot. It is on "rain" which sounds like white noise, it blocks out all outside noise. We recently went on a road trip and I downloaded the sound on my phone, he slept for 3.5 hrs in the car, wonderful!
When I go grocery shopping, I carry him in the Baby Bjorn. He loves it! He loves to be held and to sit up. There is so much to look at in the grocery store, he is always entertained. But, lately, he has been falling asleep during long shopping trips, it is the sweetest thing. It is one of my favorite things, to have him close by and so snuggly!
We thank God daily for our precious gift!
