The week started early Saturday morning. Our flight was at 6am, so we had to be at the airport at 4, we left the house around 3:15am. I was really worried about waking Case up, but he did amazing! He did pretty good on the plane, the biggest problem was keeping him from kicking the seat in front of him.
We rode the golf cart in the Miami airport, Case loved it!
He slept the 2nd leg of the trip, from Miami to St kitts, 2.5 hrs, not bad :)
We made it to St Kitts around 3pm local time, after getting through customs, we met up with Big Steve, he helped us with our bags and found Raphael, our wonderful taxi driver. We use him every year and he is the best! Very caring and knows all the best places to go on the island!
Case with Granddaddy (ofcourse) talking to Big Steve
Mom and Case in the taxi.
Just arrived at the hotel!
That evening, we walked down the road to Shiggidy Shack and had fresh lobster, yum!
Sunday, we stayed around the hotel and played in the pool! Case loved the water so much, he was so comfortable in his puddle jumper. By the end of the week, he was jumping in and kicking to where he wanted to go. People were so impressed how good he was in the water!
Case's thinks it's so funny to put his fingers in his mouth when I say "Case smile" Oh man, such a jokester!
Naptime for the kiddos...
Sunday evening, we went to a Mexican restaurant. We love Mexican, but should have known, not the best idea to eat in the Caribbean. If you need clarification how to say fajita, see below... (from the menu)
Case is in the back, just blocked.
Case loved wearing my hat. "hat" is one of his newer words, he wanted everyone to wear one :)
Chris took these...Case was a little unsure about the ocean, I think it didn't help that it was close to nap time. He was doing good, but I took him back out to put his puddle jumper on and it set him off. He threw a wonderful tantrum on the beach, lovely!
Sand all over Case after his tantrum :)
Poolside picnic

Wednesday, me, Chris, Kellie, and Marty went on a snorkle trip to Nevis (the sister island) The grandparents watched the lil guys. We had a great time, the weather was a little overcast and we had a little rain, but we were in paradise, so we made the best of it!
Thursday night we went to Sprat Net for dinner. It is on the other side of the island and is a perfect destination to watch the sunset. They have the best lobster on the island!
On our way to Sprat Net, we stopped and took the iconic St Kitts pictures, Atlantic on the left, Caribbean on the right.
If you look closely, you can see the lobsters in the boat.
Friday, the grandparents went on the snorkle trip to Nevis and the kids stayed behind. We took Case to the beach again, he played in the sand and enjoyed the water.
A few pics from the grandparent's cruise, I'm sure they had a good time, judging from the pictures below.
We headed home the next day. It is always so sad to leave, the week goes by too quick. But, it's nice to be going home. Case did great on the trip back, he slept the 2nd leg again.
On a side note... when we got back home, we let Caney out in the backyard. When I went to let her back in, she was gone, the gate had blown open. We were frantic searcing for her, we have such wonderful neighbors, they were out helping, on foot and in cars. Thank God for dog lovers, a lady by the nearby park found her and called us! It was a happy reunion!
