The first time we went, he was nervous but once he got used to it, he loved it! Aunt Skye got Case a life jacket called a Puddle Jumper for Christmas! He loves it! It supports him just right and allows him to move and swim. He is able to "swim" where he wants to and kick his legs behind him or in front. Once he got his confidence, he wanted to swim on his own!
The next time we went, we tried his other life jacket. It is just the normal kind. It worked well to keep him floating, but he wasn't able to control it as much. I guess this type of life jacket is made to keep him on his back in an emergency, so it kept moving him to his back and he wasn't strong enough to maneuver it like he did the puddle jumper. So, we've decided for everyday swimming the puddle jumper is perfect!
